Soundproof drywall offers serenity

The latest entry in Quiet Solution's Soundproofing System product family, “Serenity” drywall (gypsum board) panel is suitable for residential and commercial construction, including home theaters, recording studios, conference rooms, multi-family dwellings — wherever noise abatement is essential. Built using a multi-layer laminating process with viscoelastic polymers, the Soundproofing System is rated by independent labs at STC 52-72 using standard single-stud construction. The ultra-light, thin (⅝-in.), reduced-cost Serenity soundproof drywall panel is said to perform exceptionally well at blocking low frequencies (e.g., 22 dB transmission loss at 65 Hz).
