Harrington heads Lehigh Hanson

Effective this month, Lehigh Hanson Inc. Chief Operating Officer Daniel Harrington succeeds CEO James Kitzmiller, who is retiring after nearly 40 years with the company and predecessor operations. Harrington had served as COO and president of Lehigh Hanson South, which along with North, West and Canada regions, plus Hanson Building Products, was formed with the 2007 merger of Lehigh Portland Cement Co. and Hanson Building Materials America. That followed the Lehigh parent HeidelbergCement's takeover of Hanson Plc. Harrington fittingly joined the Lehigh executive team Jan. 1, 2000, as Northern Division president.
