With wind power generating capacity in the United States increasing 27 percent in 2006 and an additional 27 percent in 2007, wind turbines are making a rapid move from alterative energy source to a mainstream option. As a result, ready mixed producers in many states are watching this market carefully, since every turbine erected on a wind farm requires a concrete pedestal to act as its foundation.
